MOBILE GENERATOR

The Terex SHM generator eases the logistics of any surface mining operation.

The Terex SHM is powered from either a highline power with a remote substation or a portable electric generator system. The generator is a super silenced 16 cylinder, diesel, 995-volt system, housed in a 20 foot, track mounted, enclosed container located in proximity to the machine.

Electric power is introduced into the machine through the Electric Control Module (ECM) located below the operator cabin; 995, 480, 220 and, 110 volts are available  throughout the machine.

All required electric power cables, as well as hydraulic lines, control cable, methane sensor cable, and optional water lines are stored within the structure of the machine and are wrapped around the hose reel assembly.  During mining, the cables and hoses, which are fed through a protective steel "hose reel chain", unwind automatically and are fed to the cutterhead, in a recessed channel on top of each pushbeam. During retraction, the hose reel automatically winds up the hose reel chain containing the cables and hoses.
